In 1993 Mr O’Hare co-founded a start up telecommunications service provider in Sydney to capitalise on the deregulation of the industry. The company, CorpTEL Communications Pty Ltd, was to become one of the largest privately owned telecommunication service companies in Australia recording revenues in 1998 of over $100 million managing over 15,000 business customers for fixed wire and mobile services across Australia. Mr O’Hare was its major shareholder, Chief Executive and Chairman since inception until its eventual sale to Australia’s 3rd largest carrier, AAPT Limited in 1998. In 1998 Mr O’Hare formed a private venture capital firm that successfully bought and sold various technology companies and ultimately invested in his new start-up telecommunications group called People Telecom Limited.
People Telecom Limited was co-founded by Mr O’Hare in 2000 and revenues in the 2007 financial year were $115 million up from $100 million in 2005. Now part of the M2 Telecommunication Group that is heading to a $500 million (revenue) business. Mr O’Hare was its Chief Executive Officer since inception to August 1996 and remains one of the top ten shareholders today.
Mr O’Hare is currently the CEO of Next Telecom Pty Ltd, a new emerging telecommunications service provider that, with clever management, is delivering state of the art services to the SME market and sits on various public and private boards.
Mr Roache has spent 16 years in telecommunications, previously the General Manager of Sales for People Telecom Limited he was responsible for growth in sales.
Prior to People Telecom Limited he worked for Tel.net Media where he was Director of Sales Asia Pacific region, responsible for sales of value-added IP Data products to telecommunication carriers and internet service providers throughout Asia and the United States.
Previously Mr Roache was employed as Sales Manager for corpTEL Communications Pty Ltd (now part of the AAPT Limited group). Under his management, the sales team generated the highest revenue per sales person in the telecommunications industry. Together with a telecommunications background he spent eight years prior in management roles including five years with Accor Asia Pacific.
Mr Roache has an industry reputation that is well known for his leadership and management ability, combined with his strength to cut through the industry players and attract the key personnel to build strong profitable revenue streams.
Mr Manion was appointed as a Next Telecom Pty Ltd Director in October 2008. Mr Manion has joined the team having spent fifteen years in telecommunications as one of the most successful directors of channels in the industry. Mr Manion was Director of Channel Sales for AAPT and People Telecom Pty Ltd. His experience in the development of channel programs allows Next Telecom Pty Ltd to be competitive in the dealer and channel offering.
Ms Jones is a qualified CPA and CMA, with international experience as a commercial accountant and CFO. For the last ten years she has worked in the Telecommunications Industry and has a large amount of experience in launching and managing businesses in Europe, Australia and the South Pacific. Ms Jones joined Next Telecom Pty Ltd in April 2009 and manages all aspects of financial management within the organisartion.
